Expensive Clothing: Keep these for special occasions. Use them as part of a daylong visit. Bring them in early, help your loved one bathe and get dressed up. Help them do their hair, fuss over their makeup, etc. then enjoy your day. If there isn't a special activity scheduled, just spend the time talking to them, reading out loud, or just writing letters for them. Sometimes, just bringing a book and reading to yourself is enough. Just knowing you're there if they feel a need, is often a nice enough special occasion. At the end of the day, help them undress and get ready for their normal afternoon activities or bed. Then take the good clothes home for the next time |
